Project overview
The 40,000 sq ft Red Tree Magenta building was developed in 2019. Situated on the banks of the River Clyde, Red Tree Magenta provides premium office space to a multitude of companies across the city. With high tenancy rates, it was imperative that there was an EV charging solution to match the demand of electric vehicles on site.
Red Tree Magenta previously provided electric vehicle charging on site for its tenants and guests, however the existing infrastructure was un-operational due to lack of maintenance from the supplier. With increasing demand, the client required a replacement charging solution where the operator actively maintained the service for optimum up-time of charge points.
A site survey was conducted by EVC with a view to replace the existing infrastructure with an upgraded charging solution. The charge points continued to run from the existing power supply on site with a view to add further charge points as demand increases throughout the service. EVC’s system provides complete control and flexibility to the client in terms of pricing strategy, reporting systems and monitoring usage.
The installation process was undertaken and completed within X days. The entire service was provided as part of EVC’s management solution, enabling a 5-year warranty on the chargers as well as an option to generate additional revenue from charger usage. As part of the service, EVC continue to manage the charging stations to maintain optimum performance for staff to have access to a charge point when required.
