Project overview

Horwood House Hotel is a scenic destination nestled in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. The popular wedding and party venue boasts 120 bedrooms and 38 acres of grounds. With electric vehicles becoming a more popular option for guests, Horwood House Hotel understood the need to provide charging facilities for their customers and guests.

Horwood House Hotel contacted EVC to discuss the potential installation of EV charge points. EVC undertook an initial site survey of the hotel to qualify power and advise on the ideal location of the new EV bays.

During the survey, it was determined that a new point of connection would need to be established, to power the EV chargers. An initial two 22kW dual socket fast chargers were installed to supply four bays, with the infrastructure provided to easily power a further sixteen EV bays, giving all guests an accessible place to charge their EVs as demand increases. Attractive thermoplastic bay markings and informative signage was positioned throughout the car park to ensure the best possible charging experience for guests.

Horwood House Hotel chose EVC’s fully funded solution which entitles the hotel to the installation and ongoing maintenance of the chargers at zero cost. EVC continue to monitor the utilisation levels of the charge points and will advise Horwood House Hotel on the optimum time to introduce additional charge points.
