Project overview

The newly built Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe, with close links to the M40, has become a popular choice of accommodation for commuters. With such a prominent location, Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe understood the need to provide EV charging points for their overnight guests, as well as offering accessible EV charging facilities for motorists passing through the area.

As 64% of EV charging takes place overnight, hotels are fast becoming the ideal location for convenient EV chargers. The charging points are often made available to use on the public network, so all EV drivers can benefit from well situated chargers.

After previously deploying chargers at other Hampton by Hilton hotels, EVC were contacted to provide a site survey at High Wycombe to determine the availability of power. During this process, EVC also advised on the optimum number of EV bays and determined that two 22kW dual outlet chargers should be installed to facilitate the current demand from electric vehicles at the hotel.

EVC offered Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe their fully funded financial option, which meant the hotel could be futureproofed at zero cost. This solution also includes free ongoing maintenance of the chargers and 24/7 customer support.
