EVC Partner with Major Hotel Chains

EVC have partnered with Jury’s Inn and Q Hotels to implement a nationwide roll out of EV charging solutions across their portfolio of hotels. With charging facilities being a highly valuable amenity for EV drivers, these partnerships will improve both the guest experience and contribute to a greener future.

EVC will work with Jury’s Inn and Q Hotels to future-proof their sites, ensuring that there is sufficient charging infrastructure in place for drivers. There is also the possibility of scalable infrastructure, whereby additional chargers can be installed as demand rises with minimal disruption to the site. With electric vehicle sales are rising year-on-year as the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in 2030 comes closer, now is a crucial time for hotels to get ahead of the curve and offer charging to guests.

EVC will provide a bespoke charging solution for each hotel by carrying out consultations and site surveys to specifically determine the requirements and capabilities of each location. This will involve establishing the optimal number and type of chargers, as well as the method of power supply. Power supply may be achieved by utilising spare capacity from the building supplies, or establishing new points of connection. Once the installs are complete, EVC will be available to provide the hotels and their guests with ongoing support – this includes ongoing management and maintenance of the chargers, as well as a 24/7 helpline for users should they encounter any difficulties.

Offering EV charging welcomes a wider clientele to hotels, with drivers often choosing their destination based on the availability of charging. The ability for users to seamlessly integrate charging into their stay will greatly enhance the overall guest experience, as it removes any concerns surrounding range anxiety that EV drivers have – guests will be able to enjoy their stay whilst their vehicles charge and leave with a full battery. This in turn helps build relationships between hotels and their guests as it demonstrates the commitment to providing a convenient and comfortable stay.

EV charging facilities are not only crucial to improving guest experience, but also demonstrate the hotels’ commitment to a more sustainable future. By adding more chargers to the network, Jury’s Inn & Q Hotels will help to promote the adoption of electric vehicles, supporting the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable way of transport. The benefits of this sustainable initiative don’t end there – providing EV charging will help to differentiate the hotels from competition, attracting guests who prioritise sustainability.

These partnerships mark an important step towards preparing hotels for the EV revolution. By starting now, EVC will ensure that Jury’s Inn and Q Hotels have the necessary infrastructure installed to accommodate for EV drivers now and in the future. This collaboration shows a dedication to improving the overall guest experience by providing drivers with EV charging, whilst simultaneously helping to solidify the importance of sustainability for hotels.
